Spotless has been supplying garment hanger systems to garment manufacturers and retailers since the 1970's. An intimate understanding of the display and logistical requirements of garment hanger systems stem from Spotless' inception as a dry cleaning business. 
The Spotless dry cleaning business was established in 1946. In the early 1970s the Company commenced plastic garment hanger manufacture to support a premium dry cleaning segment. Spotless' product offer quickly evolved to meet retailer demands including the development of Garment On Hanger (GOH) programs. By the 1980s GOH programs with colour size indicators become the industry norm.
Spotless acquired some domestic competitors in 1981 and as a result held the majority of intellectual property in garment hangers in Australia.
In 1987 Spotless expanded into the USA acquiring an intimate apparel garment hanger manufacturer, Plasti-form. Plasti-form had developed niche value add products which carried the Spotless Top Sizing concept.
In 1994 Spotless pioneered the reuse hanger program with Target in the USA. The program was later embraced by Mervyns and Hills. Spotless’ sole supply partnership with Target and Mervyns remains in place today.
In 2000 Spotless acquired Braitrim, a leading European hanger, ticketing and label supplier, based in London. Braitrim also operates a reuse facility in Barnsley which processes hangers for Peacocks and Bon Marche amongst others.
In 2007 our operations span 32 countries and Spotless’ global footprint is large and complex. To increase efficiency and improve the flexibility of the global business, Spotless has established a single structure business, which builds on the geographic strengths of the Plasti-form, Braitrim and Spotless Plastics garment hanger businesses.
To highlight these moves and focus attention on a more integrated offer to our customers, Spotless has rebranded the global business Braiform. This new brand name acknowledges the heritage and 30 year track record in providing superior product and program development across a complex supply chain.
